Greg is the weightlifting coach at CFF. His programming and training philosophy is simple: if you want to get better at the snatch and clean & jerk, then you need to practice the snatch and clean & jerk… as well as develop strong legs.
In the past, he has served as strength coach for Sonoma State University’s Women’s Basketball team, multiple high schools, and was most recently head coach for the SPTC Weightlifting Team in the highly competitive Pacific Weightlifting Association (PWA). At SPTC he coached multiple athletes to national meets and hundreds of athletes to PRs.
Greg got his start in weightlifting while training for sports in high school and eventually became a two-sport athlete in college. He has been a part of the gym/fitness industry since 2001.
Weightlifting is a great sport but it’s tough. To be successful at it, you need to be consistent, possess mental and physical fortitude, and be comfortable with being physically uncomfortable.
